Bill your customer with the Invoice Maker
The free Invoice Maker on work_from_home makes your invoice, saves it as a PDF to send, keeps track of who has paid, and makes next month's care invoice in one tap. It works on a phone.
Before you start
- Open work_from_home.intergine.com/p/Invoice-Maker on the phone or computer you will always use for invoices: everything is saved in that browser only.
Make the invoice
Step 1. Under From (you), type your name, e-mail and phone. They are remembered for next time.
Step 2. Under Bill to, type your customer's name, or pick them from Saved customers.
Step 3. Tap a line button, such as + Website set-up or + Monthly website care, and type your own price on every line. (The app asks for a price on every line before it saves.)
Step 4. Tap Save to My invoices. It says "Saved INV-0001 to My invoices."
Send it
Step 5. Tap Preview & print, then Print or save as PDF. In the print window, choose Save as PDF as the printer: you get a PDF to attach to an e-mail or a text.
Step 6. Or tap Copy as text and paste the invoice into a message.
Keep track
Step 7. Open My invoices: every invoice with its customer, date, total and status, and at the top what is waiting to be paid and what you were paid this year.
Step 8. When the money arrives, tap Mark paid. (Mark unpaid undoes it.)
Step 9. For a monthly care customer, tap Next month: a new invoice opens with the same customer and the monthly care line only. Check the price and save it.
Check it worked
My invoices shows the invoice, and after Mark paid its status says Paid.
Good to know
- Your invoices are saved in this browser only: nobody else can see them, but clearing the browser or using another phone means you don't see them either. Keep a PDF of every invoice for your records and taxes.
- The Price calculator tab works out your set-up and monthly fees from your hourly rate (Training, lesson 6).
- Delete all my saved data (in My invoices) wipes your details, customers and invoices from this browser.
