Help Center For Business Owners
Straight answers for business owners
What your website costs, what happens after the free 30 days, who owns it, and what happens if your webmaster stops: short, plain answers.
Before you start
- A webmaster has offered you a website built on iNterGine, or you are thinking about one.
Cost and the free trial
Step 1. What does the website cost? $360 a year ($30 a month), with everything in it: online store and payments, booking, forms, blog, members area, phone app and SEO tools. No add-ons or plug-ins to buy. Your webmaster's own fee for setting it up and looking after it comes on top; agree it with them first.
Step 2. What happens after the free 30 days? Seeing your new site costs nothing. If you subscribe on the site's own subscribe screen, it stays live. If not, it simply closes by itself, and nothing is owed.
Step 3. Can I cancel? Yes, any time. Your site stays live until the end of the month you have paid for.
Ownership
Step 4. Who owns the website and the domain? You do. The site is yours once you pay for it. iNterGine does not sell domain names, so your domain is registered in your own name, with a domain company you choose, and stays yours.
Step 5. What if my webmaster stops? The site doesn't depend on them: it is yours. You can look after it yourself, or ask another webmaster.
Day to day
Step 6. Can I change it myself? Yes. You don't need a technician: this help site shows every task with numbered pictures and a short video, starting with Getting Started.
Step 7. Is it fast and safe? It runs on iNterGine's own code, with no third-party plug-ins and nothing for you to install or patch. You can run Google's free speed test (pagespeed.web.dev) on your current site and on your new one.
Check it worked
Ask your webmaster to show you the site's subscribe screen, so you see the price yourself before you decide.
Good to know
- Put what your webmaster does for their fee in writing: set-up, monthly care, and who pays the website subscription.
